Biographical history
Vivian C. Wurtele, born around 1835, was the son of Jonathan Wurtele, Seigneur of Rivière-David in Yamaska, and Louisa Sophia Campbell. He married Olympe Paré on 28 September 1882.

The series contains primary source information on the personal life of Vivian C. Wurtele from 1855 to 1856, as well as information on sale of crops and bricks from 1857 to 1860. It consists of a diary, which was also used as a composition book and financial ledger.
