Scope and content
The file consists of a catalogue of the officers and students from Stanstead Seminary (now Stanstead College), for 1841-1842; one manuscript school notebook dated 1854; a poem, dated April 1900; an autograph book, dated 1924; a baccalaureate programme, dated 1926; and two school notebooks, dated 1891-1902. The poem, called "Vive Montjoie", is by Dolor Biron, a philosophy student at the Séminaire Saint-Charles Borromée of Sherbrooke. The file provides information on geology, geography, religion, and literature as school subjects. The autograph book provides information on Florence Mead's time as a student at Macdonald College, School for Teachers, including entries from numerous students from the Eastern Townships, lesson plan assignments, observation lessons and a timetable. The programme is for the Sherbrooke High School baccalaureate service held at Plymouth Church in Sherbrooke. The notebooks from Bertha Ralston provide information on school lessons from the area of West Brome from 1891 to 1902.
