Train wreck between Waterloo and Warden

Item is a photograph of a train wreck between Waterlook and Warden in 1879. The caption reads: "Wreck between Waterlook & Warden 1879. Engine former C.V. 'Governor Payne', Joseph Clark, 1849-50. Passumpsic, 'Orleans'. Operated in mixed, Sorel to Sutton. S.E.R. train carrying load of granite for the construction of Col. A.B. Foster's home at Waterloo;-- C.W. Foster, gave the signal 'all clear' when the mixed was on the right of way. This event ended his railway career. Engr. John Daly, killed."
The fonds contains source material on Church management for Warden United Church from 1862 to 1971, and on the 92nd and 100th anniversaries of the congregation. It consists of minutes, a deed, a photograph, press clippings, orders of service, an historical sketch, attendance record, and a report. The fonds is comprised of the following series: Church Boards (1897-1971), Buildings and Property (1862), and Historical ([190-], 1968).
