Biographical history
Rose Meredyth Bowen was Minnie Hallowell Bowen's daughter. Born the 5 February 1893, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, she married Rev. Charles Revell Eardley-Wilmot on 23 April 1914. Together they had 4 children: Barbara Rose (1915-2002), Cecilia Torlesse (1917-1999), Robert Lloyd (1921-2011), and Sylvia Revell (b. 1926). She died the 1 December 1954.

The file contains primary source information on Rose Meredyth Bowen Eardley-Wilmot from 1893 to 1954. It consists of biographical notes, a certificate from her Communion, a housekeeping journal, remarks on a trip to London, correspondence with her husband and daughter Barbara, poems including one entitled "The Little Sandpiper" by Rose, a property plan for a lot on Queen Street in Sherbrooke, a newspaper article on an address delivered by Rose in 1911, an invitation to Rose and Charles Eardley-Wilmot's wedding, a newspaper article on the wedding, a list of wedding gifts, a photograph of Rose from 1893 and from her marriage in 1914, newspaper clippings regarding her expression of her desire for a "United Canada" with regards to language in 1940, a newspaper clipping from her daughter Sylvia's wedding, a certificate for being a Life Member of the Women's Auxiliary to the Church of England in Canada, Diocese of Quebec, and obituaries announcing her death in 1954.
