The album was in the possession of John H. Walsh, general manager of the Quebec Central Railway in Sherbrooke, and was passed down through his family until it was donated to the ETRC by John Walsh's great grandson, Gérard Coté.
Scope and content
The file contains primary source information on rivers and towns along the Chaudière River in the Beauce region in 1906. It consists of photographs depicting Beauceville, the Chaudière River, the Davis Rapids, Gilbert River Village, the Gilbert River, log jams, the Famine River, the Pozer River, St. George, a woman at a hand loom, and two individuals who may be William and Jane Smith of Richmond.
