Scope and content

The series contains primary source information on the personal collections of F.S. Coburn from 1828 to the 1960s. It consists mainly of illustrations and publications that either were collected by Coburn for inspiration, feature his work, or mention his name. There are two original works of art included in this series as well as a scrapbook and postcards. The series is comprised of the following files: Unsigned Original Artwork ([18--?]-[19-?], Illustrations ([1872?]-[1960?]), Books (1828, 1862), Magazines (1923-1938), Postcard Collection ([19--?]), Scrapbook (1898-1969), Engravings ([18--?]-[1960?]), Portraits ([18--?]-[1960?]), Other Reproductions of Artworks ([1898-1941?]).
