The Massawippi Union Church, built in the New England style in 1861, stands to this day as a reminder of the village’s American roots. Though it is now seldom used, the church is still occasionally opened for services and other community events.

The fonds was donated by William Mitchell, on behalf of the Trustees of the Massawippi Union Church, in 2018.

Beginning in the 1980s the buildings of the Massawippi Union Church and Massawippi Town Hall (previously known as the Massawippi Village School Hall) under went a series of structural and interior renovations. This series consists of financial statements, floor plans, proposed maintenance projects, and budgets for the Church and Town Hall. The series is divided into the following files: Massawippi Union Church (1992-2001), Massawippi Town Hall (1994-1999), and Miscellaneous (1951-2001).
The series includes textual records in relation to the buildings, and property of the Massawippi Union Church and the Massawippi Town Hall. Both buildings began major renovations and reconstruction beginning in 1989, with attention to the exterior, pint and new flooring inside, but primarily structural support of the Town Hall's foundation and the Church steeple. The photographs included show the physical state of the buildings prior to construction, and financial statements and maintenance programs outline the plans for each location.
