Biographical history

Leslie Porteous received a B.A. (Honours Psychology) from Bishop’s University in 1966. She earned a M.Ed. (Counselling Psychology) from the University of Toronto in 1988. In 1997 Leslie Chisholm became registered as a Psychological Associate with The College of Psychologists of Ontario. Her career as a psychoeducational consultant was spent at the North York Board of Education, which later became part of the Toronto District School Board.

Fonds gives evidence to student activities at Bishop's University from 1965 to 1967, specifically new student orientation, drama, and Carnival events. Includes:

  • alumni reunions booklets, Classes 1965, 1966, 1967
  • LP records: The Eskimos Who Came in From the Cold (Carnival Revue 1965). 2 copies, includes script; The Grate Escape
    Recordings of The Grate Escape and The Eskimos Who Came in From the Cold, Book and lyrics by Alex G. Henderson and Douglas H. Tees, Music and orchestrations by John C. Piper. Bishop's University 1965 Revue. The Grate Escape features the Bishop's University Marching Song in the final act.
