The fonds consists of a Deed from the Crown for one hundred acres in the Township of Sutton dated June 26, 1852 at Quebec, two newspaper notices regarding Ferres involvement in the riots of 1849 first his charge, and secondly his discharge from Montreal goal, dated April 18, 1849 at Montreal, as well as an address given by J.P. Noyes K.C., before the Knowlton Reading Club of 1901 in which Noyes refers to the electing of Ferres as Brome County's first M.P. and a BCHS Column in the Eastern Townships Advertiser Nov. 29, 1962 in which Harry B. Shufelt writes on same subject.
