Custodial history

The items were in the care of Felicite Morgan’s late Great Uncle, Wyndham Strover. His mother died of post-birth complications when he was six months old and he was raised by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Mary Evans, who was born in Lennoxville, and her maiden name was Elizabeth Mary Miles. She was the daughter of Dr. Henry H. Miles, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Hopper Miles. Wyndham Strover would have received all those artifacts from Elizabeth Mary Evans.

Scope and content

The file contains primary source information on the Jackson-Miles family in Sherbrooke, Lennoxville and England in the eighteenth to twentieth centuries. It consists of miniature portrait paintings and photographs depicting family members.
