Fonds St. Helen's School

Le fonds témoigne du fonctionnement, de l’organisation, de la clientèle et du programme d’études du Dunham Ladies’ College ainsi que de la St. Helen’s School entre 1879 et 1971. Il est composé surtout de documents sur le Dunham Ladies’ College. Le fonds comprend les séries suivantes : Statuts et règlements (1906), Rapports annuels (1898-1971), Registres comptables (1900-1918), Registres d’école (1894-1910), Listes des résultats aux examens de juin (1897-1909), Statistiques provinciales sur les examens de juin (1904-1909), Annuaires (1879-1964) et Documents divers (1879-[1956?]).

The fonds contains primary source information on the professional life of Royce Gale in Sherbrooke from 1950 to 1968. It consists of photographs of some of the classes taught by Royce Gale and of drama performances at the Sherbrooke High School, as well as a newspaper article on the naming Eastern Townships School Board administrators in 1968.

Goodin family (Bury) fonds

The fonds contains primary source information on the education and social activities of the Goodin family in Canterbury and Bury from the 1870s to 1950. It consists of largely of correspondence, school reports, exams, composition books and a photograph. Among the correspondence are two wedding invitations: one for the marriage of Augusta Bennett and Samuel Lake, and another for Lizzie Clark. The identified authors of the correspondence are: John and Lucy Goodwin - George's brother and sister-in-law, Allen Snelling, Robert Clark, and Janet Rowe. The fonds is comprised of the following files: George Goodin Corrsepondence (1883-1890), Edith Goodin Correspondence (1948-1950) and Education ([187-?]-1949).
