The fonds consists mainly of family trees, photographs, family histories and includes detailed genealogical information on various families, such as Waldron, Cairns, Smith, Schoff, Hurd, Lowry, Dempsy, Cooper, Forgrave, Banks, Hodgen, Gilbert, McConnell, Gray, Elliot, Lindsay, Bain, Graham, Jordon, Cromwell, MacRae, McBurney, Mackay, Hall, Gordon, Waters, Pope, Reed, Williams, Bellam, Barber, Betts, Blair and Hurley. Collection presents information on the life, particularly religious life, of Gilles Baril, priest, in Coaticook and areas in Sherbrooke and East Angus, from about the 1980s to 2005. It consists of a biography, titled “Une vie arc-en-ciel”, on the first part of Gilles Baril’s personal and religious life and a number of musical recordings used in the course of church activities and services.

The collection contains source material on travel in the Province of Quebec. It consists of a train ticket from Marieville to Drummondville and Canadian Pacific Railway travel brochures in Quebec featuring the Laurentian Mountain District, Fishing and Shooting and Transatlantic Services, and a scrapbook. The compiler of the scrapbook is unknown and consists of theatre programmes, newspaper and magazine clippings, greeting cards, and two water colours, largely from Europe. It also includes references to a Gottinger Corps as well as documents pertaining to the death of Bishop Williams. The collection is comprised of the following series: Train Ticket ([188-?]), Travel Brochures ([191-?] -[195-?]), and Scrapbook (1876-1901).
