Collection presents information on the production activities of the Penman's factory in Coaticook from 1894 to 1900. It consists of an inventory ledger, which was probably used to record the quantity of cotton thread and dye colours used in production. The ledger is also a source of information on the finances of Lucien and Magella Beaulieu from 1961 to 1962.

It also contains historical information on the Stanstead County and Barnston Township areas, as well as genealogy. The majority of the records were produced in the Eastern Townships, many come from the New England states as well as across Canada and worldwide. It consists of two application registers. The applicants are mostly residents of Coaticook but some are from Stanhope, Moe's River and surrounding areas. Notably, the applications include sketches of the buildings (dimensions and position) to be insured.
