The file contains primary source information on the involvement of Cecil H. Bowen of Sherbrooke, QC with railroads from approximately 1898 to 1902. It consists of photocopies of press clippings on railways and the Great Lakes Waterway; a copy of Bill 98, the Act Respecting the Cobourg, Northumberland and Pacific Railway Company, passed by the House of Commons in the 1890s; a prospectus and an application form related to the issuing of debentures by the Cobourg, Northumberland and Pacific Railway Company in 1898; a draft contract, dated 1898, between Cecil H. Bowen, Reuben W. Leonard and John D. Cameron for the building of the railway; and correspondence, notes, and estimates related to the railway and to the construction of a line between Newington in Sherbrooke and Tobins Mills. One letter is addressed to Frank Grundy, Manager of the Quebec Central Railway in Sherbrooke. The file also includes a map showing the route of the Cobourg, Northumberland and Pacific Railway Company and its connections.

It consists mainly of railway photos including QCR freight and passenger trains, locomotives, rail cars and a few from Trains Touristiques de Chaudière-Appalaches (TTCA) which was running on the QCR track to Sherbrooke.
