The fonds contains source material mainly related to Minnie Hallowell Bowen's literary writings, community and political implicatons, and personal life at the turn of the 20th century. Many of her poems relate to local events, to the World Wars, and to Canadian and British politics. The fonds also provides information on the activities of Minnie's family members, including but not limited to: her husband Cecil H. Bowen, her son Lloyd H. Bowen, her daughter Rose Meredyth Bowen, Henry Bowen, Edward Bowen, Eleazar Clark, George Frederick Bowen, John Hallowell, William Bowen, Frank A. Bowen, Frederick Chamberlin Bowen, and Edward Hugh Bowen. The documents show their involvement mainly in the development of railways, in the mining industry, in the Armed Forces and Militia, in politics, in scouting, in church activities, and in social clubs and associations. Some documents are about the Fenian Raids, the Knights of Columbus, and the history of Sherbrooke.

The fonds consists of mainly manuscripts, correspondence, photocopies of press clippings, articles, publications, photographs, diaries, prospectuses, and drawings. It consists of Dadie's last will and testament, a summary of her estate and how it was to be distributed, an unsigned letter dated 1954, addressed to Harry E. Grundy discussing her marriage to Frederick Ernest Smith, and a typed document (likely dating from sometime between 1970 and 1999) detailing her relation to the family and explaining her nickname "Dadie."

The file contains primary source information on the life of Barbara Rose (Eardley Wilmot) Constable from around the years 1917 to 1942, 1962 to 1963, and 1993 to 1996. It consists of a memoir of a childhood Christmas, documents, including handwritten notes, pertaining to her father's life and his career in the Church, correspondence regarding her father's passing, a copy of "A Short History of the Diocese of Quebec. 1793-1993" by James T. Sweeny with Barbara's name written on it and some handwritten notes at the back, photographs of a Canada Day parade in Hatley and Hallowell Cottage in Sherbrooke, and a hand-drawn map of the houses in Sherbrooke which she visited as a child and some of their occupants.

The file contains primary source information on the life of Reverend Charles Revell Eardley-Wilmot from about 1895 to 1986. It consists mainly of correspondence exchanged between the Reverend and other clerical officials from both within Quebec and abroad, as well as some letters from him addressed to his wife Rose and daughter Barbara. The file also consists of some texts written by the Reverend, including one published by The Canadian Journal of Religious Thought in 1930 and one published by The Canadian Churchman in 1932. It also consists of one photograph of him, personal belongings such as his baptismal records, passport, and pocket diaries, as well as some biographical research and texts compiled by his daughter Barbara, obituaries, and a text written by his granddaughter Susan recalling her childhood memories of him. Also included in the file is a photocopy of the author's biography from the book "Benjamin Cronyn: First Bishop of Huron" written by Reverend A. H. Crowfoot, with whom Charles Revell Eardley-Wilmot corresponded.
