The fonds contains mainly source material on Sam Hopper's and The Hoedowners' singing activities. It consists of 19 tape reels, 19 cassettes and a booklet entitled "Sam Hopper Tapes" on Sam Hopper and The Hoedowners from 1982. It also consists of one cassette entitled "La reponse..." by the "Ensemble vocal La Maison du Point tournant" from 1993, and a poster for Sam Hopper and his Hoedowners.

The guitar player on the far left side has been identified as Merlin Dewing and the man beside him has been identified as Jimmy Piper. The fiddle player on the far right side is Sam Hopper, and the woman to the left of him is his wife, Aveline Hopper (née Sarrasin).

The collection contains source material on the Eastern Townships, the Province of Lower Canada, the British American Land Company, St. George's Club and the Lake Massawippi area from 1794 to about 1997. It consists of 4 maps, 31 pictures (reprints) of Eastern townships and Lower Canada scenes, 1 deed of conveyance, 1 list of unsold land and 1 list of members, 6 photographs, 17 postcards, a few brochures, and 2 programmes for plays. Matrix magazine fonds

The fonds contains primary source material pertaining to Matrix magazine (published in Lennoxville, QC from 1974 to 1988). The material in the fonds spans from 1913 to 1921, and from 1974 to 1995. It consists of correspondence, largely with Matrix editor Philip Lanthier, regarding the administration and content of the magazine. The fonds also consists of prints of work submitted to the magazine, 53 photographs (including 12 35mm negatives) from The Seventh Moon poetry readings, featuring Irving Layton, Lucien Francoeur, and Ralph Gustafson, as well as 55 miscellaneous photographs (including 18 35mm negatives). Other items found in the fonds include an award certificate for Joyce Marshall in Matrix (1984), transparencies of artworks, sketches for the magazine, a Seventh Moon Poetry Reading poster, and press clippings. The fonds contains source material on the daily life of Lydia Sawyer from 1855 to 1883 and on the activities of the members of her immediate family, notably her husband Thomas Kirton Oughtred; her brother-in-law Robinson Oughtred; and her daughters Susan and Harriet. The fonds consists of her personal diary dating from 1855 to 1883; the contract for her second marriage; documents relating to Thomas Kirton Oughtred's activities as a private land agent, his work as a teacher at the School Royal Foundation in the Township of Eaton, and his last will and testament; and documents concerning Susan and Harriet. Aleta and Leeman Mackey fonds

The fonds contains information on the butcher shop owned by Leeman Mackey and also on the Mackey family. It consists of several account books (1879-1938), a calendar (1926), a schoolbook (1908), a piano method (1969) and a few photographs (1909 & 1969). The photographs show T.S. Chapman in front of "Good Cheer Lodge" in 1909 and Kathleen Mackey with classmates at the Bishopton Intermediate School in 1969 (the last class before the closure of the school). The school book is autographed "Cora Brown". Among the account books are one for the Megantic Rifle Association (1879-1902), one that appears to be for a boarding house (1889-1892), and the others are from Leeman Mackey's butcher business.
