The file contains primary source information on the athletic activities of Lloyd H. Bowen of Sherbrooke, QC, from around 1920 to 1925. It consists of a programme for the Rugby Dinner of the Bishop's University Athletic Association on 21 November 1920 and photocopies of press clippings about Lloyd H. Bowen's participation in a canoe trip, a camp at Kenora, the Sherbrooke High School rugby team, and skiing competitions. The file also includes photographs from the camping trip, of Lloyd in his rugby equipment as well as the 1923 Sherbrooke High School rugby team.

The file contains primary source information on the involvement of Cecil H. Bowen of Sherbrooke, QC with railroads from approximately 1898 to 1902. It consists of photocopies of press clippings on railways and the Great Lakes Waterway; a copy of Bill 98, the Act Respecting the Cobourg, Northumberland and Pacific Railway Company, passed by the House of Commons in the 1890s; a prospectus and an application form related to the issuing of debentures by the Cobourg, Northumberland and Pacific Railway Company in 1898; a draft contract, dated 1898, between Cecil H. Bowen, Reuben W. Leonard and John D. Cameron for the building of the railway; and correspondence, notes, and estimates related to the railway and to the construction of a line between Newington in Sherbrooke and Tobins Mills. One letter is addressed to Frank Grundy, Manager of the Quebec Central Railway in Sherbrooke. The file also includes a map showing the route of the Cobourg, Northumberland and Pacific Railway Company and its connections.

Many of her poems relate to local events, to the World Wars, and to Canadian and British politics. The fonds also provides information on the activities of Minnie's family members, including but not limited to: her husband Cecil H. Bowen, her son Lloyd H. Bowen, her daughter Rose Meredyth Bowen, Henry Bowen, Edward Bowen, Eleazar Clark, George Frederick Bowen, John Hallowell, William Bowen, Frank A. Bowen, Frederick Chamberlin Bowen, and Edward Hugh Bowen. The documents show their involvement mainly in the development of railways, in the mining industry, in the Armed Forces and Militia, in politics, in scouting, in church activities, and in social clubs and associations. The file contains primary source information on Cecil H. Bowen's involvement in mining from 1888 to 1910 in Newfoundland, Brazil and the Eastern Townships. It consists of correspondence, prospectuses, accounts, sample analyses, geological reports, and accounts related to the Standard Pyrites Company, which operated a limestone and slate mine in Newfoundland in the 1890s and 1900s. It also includes the rules and regulations of the Pilley's Island (Newfoundland) Board of Health, of which C.H. Bowen was Chairman, correspondence and a travel visa regarding the operation of the Barcellos Gold Mines Ltd. in Brazil from 1889 to 1892 and correspondence and a map related to Cecil's mining rights in the Eastern Townships, particularly in the area of South Ham.
The Pyrites Company was a mining venture Cecil H. Bowen pursued with his brother, Francis (aka Frank) Arthur Bowen.
