The collection contains primary source materials relating to Alberta Everett (née Ross), her family, and the cultural heritage of the Eastern Townships from about the 1920s to 2017. It consists primarily of photographs, audiovisual recordings, and artefacts documenting events and celebrations around Eaton Township (Bulwer, Birchton, Bury), Lennoxville, and Hatley. It also consists of some textual records attesting to the personal lives of Alberta and her family. The collection is comprised of the following series: Family History ([ca. 1920s]- [ca. 1980]), Personal Life (1944-[ca. 1990]), and Townships History ([ca. 1930]-2017).

Le fonds témoigne principalement du développement ferroviaire et de la colonisation des cantons de Clinton, de Hampden, de Ditton et de Marston (comté de Compton) entre 1876 et 1888, et du le rôle du Glasgow Canadian Land and Trust Company, alors géré par Aeneas McMaster. Le fonds est composé de lettres envoyées à McMaster entre 1873 et 1888 par des hommes d’affaires et des commerçants, des conseillers municipaux ou des maires, des employés de la Glasgow Canadian Land and Trust Company, des hommes à la recherche d’un emploi et des colonisateurs ; le fonds contient également des lettres signées par McMaster, et quelques autres documents. The fonds contain source material mainly on the activities of Allen Martin from 1960s to 1990s when he was a member of the liberal party and a board or committee member in different organizations in the counties of Megantic and Compton. The fonds consists of a variety of documents such as correspondence, reports, notices of meetings, agendas, minutes, newsletters, programmes, letters of invitations, maps, photographs, instructions for organizing elections, lists of party members and donations and so on when he was involved in different activities including the elections, referendum, Canada Day celebrations, a dispute in dismissing a school bus driver and other community events. The fonds is comprised of the following series: Quebec Referendum in 1980, Quebec Liberal Party (1979-1985) , Canada Day (1977-1989), Dismissal of School Bus Driver (1976-1977), Megantic-Compton Cemetery and Church Association (1995-2000), Société d'Histoire et du Patrimoine du Haut-Saint-François (1996-2000) and Miscellaneous Correspondence (1967-1991), Map and Photograph (1911, 1941).

Goodin family (Bury) fonds

The fonds contains primary source information on the education and social activities of the Goodin family in Canterbury and Bury from the 1870s to 1950. It consists of largely of correspondence, school reports, exams, composition books and a photograph. Among the correspondence are two wedding invitations: one for the marriage of Augusta Bennett and Samuel Lake, and another for Lizzie Clark. The identified authors of the correspondence are: John and Lucy Goodwin - George's brother and sister-in-law, Allen Snelling, Robert Clark, and Janet Rowe. The fonds is comprised of the following files: George Goodin Corrsepondence (1883-1890), Edith Goodin Correspondence (1948-1950) and Education ([187-?]-1949).
