It also covers the areas of Thetford, Upton, Verchères, Richelieu, Montreal, Sorel, Joliette, Berthier, Ste. Marie, Quebec city, Portneuf, Lotbinière, Chateauguay and the county of Rouville. It also contains aerial photographs by Photograph Surveys Inc. carried out in 1956 and 1957, which are largely of industrial areas of Sherbrooke and, in particular, Ingersoll-Rand. Aerial photographs provide direct visual evidence of the landscape and a three dimensional view of the earth and its features that is not available from ground level. It consists of aerial photographs and maps.
