The fonds consists of a souvenir folder created by Hugh McVittie of Ridgetown, Ontario, who came to stay at the Knowlton Grove Hotel during his childhood around 1940 to 1946. It contains information about the hotel, a hand drawn map of the different buildings and many photographs taken during that period. The Knowlton Grove Hotel used to be operated by the Knowlton Conference Association.

The fonds consists of primary and secondary source information about the Pagé family, originally from Quebec City, who came to live in the Eastern Townships through Louis Gustave Pagé (1856-1948) and Élise Gingras (1854-1894). They had six children: two daughters and four sons. Henri-Arthur Pagé (1887-1929) and his wife Catherine Moquin (1890-1990) setlled in Knowlton, along with the youngest son Ernest Pagé (1894-1978), who became a well-known commercial printer after buying the business of Henry F. Smith in Knowlton. The fonds include documents and photographs inserted in a big photo album that was created by the children of Jean-Paul Pagé, son of Henri-Arthur, and Madeleine Vézina. It contains four generations of portraits of the Pagé Family and some documents about André Pagé, who was a missionary in Africa.

The fonds contains information on the colonization of the Eastern Townships in the 19th century and source material on Mgr. Gravel's work as a historian. It consists of an album of clippings of his writings; a manuscript; two lectures given before the Eastern Townships Historical Society by Leonard A. Auger and Adolphe Fournier, respectively, and annotated by Mgr. Gravel; and a text written by Mgr. Maurice O'Bready on the Hale family. Occasionally, comments occur, in particular on the weather and the fishing season. It also includes a club history by Edward Dahl, published in 2020. Sherbrooke Fish and Game Club (Sherbrooke, Que.)

The fonds contains source material on Richard William Heneker's involvement in the promotion of higher learning in 1884-1885 and on his work with the British American Land Company in 1895. It consists of two letters addressed to him, one signed by Robert N. Hall, M.P. for Sherbrooke 1882-1891, and the other by Sir George Stephen, financier, railway promoter, landowner, and associate of Richard William Heneker in the Paton Manufacturing Company. The letter from Hall, dated 10 April 1884, pertains to the projected visit by the Governor General the Marquis of Lansdowne during University of Bishop's College Convocation. Stephen's letter, dated 21 June 1885, relates to the need for financial support for higher education. Sir George Stephen considered granting a sum of $1,000 to be used for bursaries in the name of the Paton Manufacturing Company. It is very likely this sum was intended for University of Bishop's College. It also consist of a deed of conveyance, dated 19 February 1895, between the British American Land Company and Charles A. Joyce.
