It consists of an album of clippings of his writings; a manuscript; two lectures given before the Eastern Townships Historical Society by Leonard A. Auger and Adolphe Fournier, respectively, and annotated by Mgr. Gravel; and a text written by Mgr. Maurice O'Bready on the Hale family. The fonds contains source material on Richard William Heneker's involvement in the promotion of higher learning in 1884-1885 and on his work with the British American Land Company in 1895. It consists of two letters addressed to him, one signed by Robert N. Hall, M.P. for Sherbrooke 1882-1891, and the other by Sir George Stephen, financier, railway promoter, landowner, and associate of Richard William Heneker in the Paton Manufacturing Company. The letter from Hall, dated 10 April 1884, pertains to the projected visit by the Governor General the Marquis of Lansdowne during University of Bishop's College Convocation. Stephen's letter, dated 21 June 1885, relates to the need for financial support for higher education. Sir George Stephen considered granting a sum of $1,000 to be used for bursaries in the name of the Paton Manufacturing Company. It is very likely this sum was intended for University of Bishop's College. It also consist of a deed of conveyance, dated 19 February 1895, between the British American Land Company and Charles A. Joyce.

The fonds consists of research notes, press clippings, photographs, and ledgers. The collection contains source material on the history of the Eastern Townships and more specifically, of the city of Sherbrooke in the 20th century. Holdings relate to such varied topics as the daily La Tribune, Sherbrooke's centenary, land granting in the 18th and 19th centuries, the teaching of the arts and the Eucharistic Conference of 1959. The collection consists mainly of press clippings, photographs, postcards, registers, and contracts. Most of the documents on land grants in the Eastern Townships are copies of documents held by the National Archives of Canada. The content of the press clipping files are also copies of articles from local newspapers. The collection is comprised of the following series: Press Clipping Files (1937-[198-?]), Images, Photographs and Postcards (1885-[1959?]), Registers of the Council of Arts and Manufacturers of the Province of Quebec (1903-1953), Land Grants in the Eastern Townships (1863-1985), and Miscellaneous Documents ([1883?]-1984). The series 'Land Grants in the Eastern Townships' contains an original of Putnam and Gray's 1863 Map of the District of St. Francis Canada East, cut up in pieces.

The collection contains source material on the history of the Bieber family and material on the Eastern Townships, Canada, England and the two world wars. It consists of four albums of postcards and seven scrapbooks containing press clippings, correspondence, photographs, booklets, greeting cards and recipes. Included among the scrapbooks is one complied by Arthur Bieber during his World War II (WWII) military service. Most of the postcards are from Europe, only a few relate to the Eastern Townships. Many were sent or received by Arthur H.H. Bieber and therefore constitute items of correspondence. The clippings in the scrapbooks are mainly related to the Eastern Townships, with some on other topics. The fonds contains source material on the property, financial, and estate-related transactions of Frances Chamberlin Barnum's family and the Reynold, Kemp, and Westover families (related by marriage) in Missisquoi County in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is also of value as a source of information on the day-to-day activities of Towner Westover of East Dunham and the Methodist East Dunham Sunday School in the 1880s. It consists almost wholly of deeds (deeds of sale, mortgages, wills, estates, gifts, leases, and so on) notarized by members of the Chamberlin, Reynolds, Kemp, and Westover families but also includes a diary and account book. Elijah Kemp, a merchant in the seigneury of Saint-Armand; Orin J. Kemp of Frelighsburg; Joshua Chamberlin, a physician in the seigneury of Saint-Armand; and David Westover, an East Dunham land owner, are among the family members represented.
