The collection contains mainly source material on the geography and landscapes of the Eastern Townships from Energy, Mines & Resources, Government of Canada, from 1933 to 1978. It covers the counties of Richmond, Sherbrooke, Compton, Frontenac, Shefford, Drummond, Brome, Stanstead, Missisquoi and Megantic. It also covers the areas of Thetford, Upton, Verchères, Richelieu, Montreal, Sorel, Joliette, Berthier, Ste. Marie, Quebec city, Portneuf, Lotbinière, Chateauguay and the county of Rouville. It also contains aerial photographs by Photograph Surveys Inc. carried out in 1956 and 1957, which are largely of industrial areas of Sherbrooke and, in particular, Ingersoll-Rand. Aerial photographs provide direct visual evidence of the landscape and a three dimensional view of the earth and its features that is not available from ground level. It consists of aerial photographs and maps.

Labbé, WilbrodThe fonds consists of a souvenir folder created by Hugh McVittie of Ridgetown, Ontario, who came to stay at the Knowlton Grove Hotel during his childhood around 1940 to 1946. It contains information about the hotel, a hand drawn map of the different buildings and many photographs taken during that period. The Knowlton Grove Hotel used to be operated by the Knowlton Conference Association.
