The fonds contains source material on the property, financial, and estate-related transactions of Frances Chamberlin Barnum's family and the Reynold, Kemp, and Westover families (related by marriage) in Missisquoi County in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is also of value as a source of information on the day-to-day activities of Towner Westover of East Dunham and the Methodist East Dunham Sunday School in the 1880s. It consists almost wholly of deeds (deeds of sale, mortgages, wills, estates, gifts, leases, and so on) notarized by members of the Chamberlin, Reynolds, Kemp, and Westover families but also includes a diary and account book. Elijah Kemp, a merchant in the seigneury of Saint-Armand; Orin J. Kemp of Frelighsburg; Joshua Chamberlin, a physician in the seigneury of Saint-Armand; and David Westover, an East Dunham land owner, are among the family members represented. It consists of two letters from James McConnell addressed to Frank Grundy shortly before McConnell's death ([1916?], 1917), a letter from Edmund I.C. Genet to Frank Grundy recounting the events preceding McConnell's death (1917), a transcription of an excerpt of this final publication under the title "La mort de Mac Connell (sic)" ([1917?]), two newspaper clippings in memory of James McConnell (1929, [193-?]), a postcard with an illustration of "la tombe d'un Aviateur Américain (Sergent Pilote) Sam Mac Connelle (sic)" [...] ([193-?]), and a photograph of James McConnell ([1916?]).

The title page shows that the anthology was Terrill's and that he began transcribing the poems in it on 2 May 1855. Besides the poems, the manuscript contains a transcription of an article published in the Stanstead Journal (4 November 1852) on the death of Terrill's father and includes subject and name indexes.
