The letters are of a personal nature, discussing travel plans, family, health, and other topics. It also contains one letter written by Tom's wife Nell Chatterton, conveying news of Tom's death. A photograph of Tom with his family is attached to the letter.
The subseries contains source on Herbert Roy Derick's research on fort Ticonderoga in [19--]. It consists of a short history of the ferry that links Larrabee's Point, Vermont, and Ticonderoga, New York.

It consists of personal correspondence written by Tom and Gwen, addressed to Harold Ferrin Baldwin and Ruth May Baldwin. The letters are primarily personal in nature, addressing their family and social lives. Some of the letters also cover Tom's work as a United Church minister in Quebec and Saskatchewan. The letter dated at Christmas 1969 uses outdated terminology that is offensive towards Black people.
