Derick, Herbert, 1916-1994The University Archives consists of all documents which give evidence and information about the University’s history, organization, function, and structure. The mission of the University Archives is to select, describe, preserve and make available for research those records which have enduring value to the University for administrative, legal, fiscal, and historical purposes. Archival holdings include records and publications of the administration, students, faculty, staff and alumni. Within these collections are a variety of media such as photographs, drawings, maps and plans, microfilms, and computer, video and audio tapes. Trophies, medals, badges, and other memorabilia are also collected by the archives.

Brown, HowardThe collection contains source material on the history of the Eastern Townships and more specifically, of the city of Sherbrooke in the 20th century. Holdings relate to such varied topics as the daily La Tribune, Sherbrooke's centenary, land granting in the 18th and 19th centuries, the teaching of the arts and the Eucharistic Conference of 1959. The collection consists mainly of press clippings, photographs, postcards, registers, and contracts. Most of the documents on land grants in the Eastern Townships are copies of documents held by the National Archives of Canada. The content of the press clipping files are also copies of articles from local newspapers. The collection is comprised of the following series: Press Clipping Files (1937-[198-?]), Images, Photographs and Postcards (1885-[1959?]), Registers of the Council of Arts and Manufacturers of the Province of Quebec (1903-1953), Land Grants in the Eastern Townships (1863-1985), and Miscellaneous Documents ([1883?]-1984). The series 'Land Grants in the Eastern Townships' contains an original of Putnam and Gray's 1863 Map of the District of St. Francis Canada East, cut up in pieces.
Demers, Louis-Philippe, 1912-1986This collection contains source material on the local history, culture and traditions of the Anglophone community of the Eastern Townships at the beginning of the 20th century. It consists largely of audio cassette tapes, video cassettes, photographs, some textual records, a topographical map of Dudswell. The fonds is comprised of the following series: Local Culture in the Eastern Townships, Radio Broadcasts by Ian Tait, CRC Class-Student Projects, Photographs and Drawings, Maps, and Miscellaneous Documents.

It consists mainly of Sherbrooke and surrounding regions telephone directories, business pamphlets, Bishop's College School yearbooks, club information, Sherbrooke Newspaper, maps of the Eastern Townships, and booklets from the Sherbrooke Winter Fair. Included among the material is a copy of "The Echenbergs of Ostropol and Sherbrooke: a tale of two shetls" by Myron Echenberg and Ruth Tannenbaum (1986) and two prints published that represents the Counties of the Eastern Townships.
