The file provides information on the development of agriculture in the Eastern Townships. Many details are provided on the following subjects: weather forecasting, cattle breeding, transportation, health, and cultural and political events such as the Rebellion of 1837. The farmers' manual contains general information on farming accountancy and records of production.
