Sherbrooke Fusilier Regiment

The file contains information on the Sherbrooke Fusilier Regiment. It consists of an issue of "Checkers!", the regiment's newsletter (dated 30 August 1945) and documents (including a plan) regarding the design of a commemorative plaque.

Donald B. Naylor

The file contains primary and secondary source information on the life of Donald Benjamin Naylor from 1914 to 1992 in Missisquoi County and in the Canadian North. It consists largely of correspondence regarding Donald Naylor's career as a sailor and captain; copies of attestation papers and other records from his military service during World War I with the 24th Battalion of the Canadian Infantry Brigade; copies of and original correspondence by Donald during his time at war as well as later in life; an interview transcript; magazine and newspaper articles; and research notes.

Fairs

The file consists of four booklets titled "Prize Lists for the Richmond County Agricultural Society Annual Fair", dated respectively 1960, 1964, 1966, 1967; prize cards, from 1893-1914, of the Danville Union Agricultural Society, the Richmond County Agricultural Society and the Eastern Townships Agriculture Society; a souvenir programme from the Sherbrooke Fair from 1945; and a poster of the 62nd Annual Farmers' Exhibition, organized by the Stanstead County Agricultural Society in Ayer's Cliff, from 28 to 29 August 1907. The file provides information on the setting up of agricultural fairs. It contains the names of the Richmond County Agricultural Society's members, the departmental committees and the rules and regulations and judging programmes of the fairs. It also a prize book for Canada's Great Eastern Exhibition (Sherbrooke, Que.) from 1894 and architectural drawings for a multifunctional building for the Exposition Sherbrooke Fair, dated 23 March 1983.

Busy Bees

The file consists of a digital reproduction of the East Clifton Busy Bees' Cook Book, probably from the late 1970s. The Busy Bees were first organized as a Sunday School class of the East Clifton Methodist (later United) Church for teenage girls.

Leisure Occupations

The file primarily consists of 36 programmes for awards nights and graduations at Alexander Galt Regional High School, Lennoxville. The file provides information about the school's cultural events, performances, and student activities, such as plays, awards nights, graduation ceremonies, and reunions from 1973 to 1998. It is also a source of information on the Waterville School and includes a reunion souvenir booklet, newspaper clipping and program from 1989; a photograph of the Waterville classes of Grades 4, 5 and 6 from around 1940; a proficiency certificate awarded Evelyn Smith in 1916; two concert prorgrammes from the Mitchell school from 1948 and 1965; and a programme from a performance of "Our Hearts were Young and Gay" by the Lennoxville High School Dramatic Society in 1947.

Joseph R. Ball family

The file consists of a book of poems by Joseph Rice Ball and Lillian Stuart Ball, titled "Greetings from Mapleside", which also includes photographs, from around 1900 and a custom Christmas greeting card from Henry S. Ball, dated 1907. Mapleside was the Ball family property in Waterville.

Victoria Day

The file consists of the programme of the Victoria Day celebrations in Richmond in 1900 and includes information of the concert, parade, and sports and games planned as part of the activities, which was organized by the Citizens Committee and the 54th Battalion.

L.O. Bunt

The file contains primary source information on the life of Reverend Lemuel Oscar Bunt. It consists of an autobiography written by Rev. Bunt, and included information on his time as a minister at the Birchton, Bulwer and Eaton Corner United Churches from 1932 to 1938.

Yearbooks

The file consists of information on the graduates from the Sherbrooke Hospital School of Nursing from 1946 to 1972. In consists of three yearbooks, titled "Invictus". Found in the pages of yearbooks are newspaper clippings: a photograph of the graduating class of North Hatley High School from 1969, a photograph of the graduating class of Sherbrooke Hospital School of Nursing from 1948, various obituaries of past graduates and an undated 'card of thanks' article from Pearl Robinson.
