Collection presents information on the educational institutions, community, cultural events, religious institutions, businesses, industries, and history of Coaticook from about 1830 to 2014. It consists largely of programmes, historical articles, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, photographs, maps, certificates, and correspondence. The collection is composed of the following series: Textual documents, Iconographic documents, Cartographic documents, and Scrapbooks.

File presents information on education in Coaticook from 1923 to 1971. It consists of a prize list for Marie Blanche Boisclair from the Présentation de Marie Pensionnat de Coaticook in 1923, correspondence with Romuald Dumont during his role in the planning committee for the Academie du Sacré-Coeur reunion (“l’amicale”) in 1940, two issues of the Coaticook High School Banner yearbook (1955, 1960) and statistics (school census) for the Commission scolaire de Coaticook from 1960 to 1971.

It consists of a charter for the Town of Coaticook (1888), a programme and souvenir book for Old Home Week (1914), a typed copy of “The Early History of Coaticook from its foundation to 1902” by B.N. Robinson and annotated by Mgr Prosper Durand (1993), historical articles by Romauld Dumond (1964), a description of the Exchange Censeau-Coaticook project ([1972?]), and an article by Ivy Hatch titled “History of the N-word River” (2003).

File presents information on men from the Coaticook area that served in the military from 1917, 1969 and the 1990s. It consists of a discharge certificate for Private John J. Forest, enlisted with the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles, and a service certificate for Sergeant J.P. G.E. Géurin, and a list of men who died in action during World War I (WWI) and World War II (WWII).

File contains images of parades in Coaticook from about 1885 to 1925. It consists of photographs of parades in the streets of the town of Coaticook, including some showing the fire department. Streets pictured are Chartier, St-Jean-Baptiste, Gérin-Lajoie, and Cutting.

It consists of a communion souvenir certificate for Rosa Nadeau (1905), a certificate of religious instruction for Antonio Thibault of St-Marc Catholic Church in Coaticook (1932), souvenir program on the occasion of the appointment of Napoleon Loiselle to the title of Secret Cameroy of Pope John XXIII ([1959?]), a booklet on the campaign to expand the parish credits of St. Emond Parish (1961), and a programme for the dedication St. Paul’s Chapel, Anglican church, in Dixville (1966).

It consists of photographs of the École Gendreau elementary school, the playground at École St-Michel elementary school, and students (largely identified) of École Gendreau, École St-Michel, École Marie-Rivier St-Marc, and the students and teacher (Myrtle Glidden) in front of a one-room schoolhouse in Martinville.

File contains images of members of the community in the Coaticook region from about the 1920s to 1950. It consists of an album of family photographs (largely unidentified), a photo postcard of Lucille Fournier, two portraits of an unidentified bride and groom, and the reproduction of a photograph of the Christmas party employees of Bell Telephone from 1950.
