The fonds contains information on the colonization of the Eastern Townships in the 19th century and source material on Mgr. Gravel's work as a historian. It consists of an album of clippings of his writings; a manuscript; two lectures given before the Eastern Townships Historical Society by Leonard A. Auger and Adolphe Fournier, respectively, and annotated by Mgr. Gravel; and a text written by Mgr. Maurice O'Bready on the Hale family. The fonds is comprised of the following series: Press Clippings (1958), Historical Writings ([195-?]) and Eastern Townships Historical Society (1960).
