The fonds contains source material on the life of Hally Carrington Brent and on tourism and summer residents of North Hatley and Lake Massawippi from 1902 to the 1960s. It consists of photographs and a hand-written partial manuscript of Brent's book "The North Hatley Story". The correspondence, written by Hally C. Brent and Duncan K. Brent relates events from North Hatley and includes interesting notes on the outbreak of World War I (WWI). The fonds is comprised of the following series: The North Hatley Story manuscript ([196-?]), The North Hatley Story photographs ([199-?], Newspaper clippings (1961-1979), Photographs ([187-]-1941), and Correspondence (1914-1927), Charest-de Lauzon-Bringier family history (1797, 1948).
