It consists of a scrapbook filled with press clippings discussing McMaster's opinions on and political actions related to fiscal policy, free trade, tariffs, and taxation. It also consists of clippings discussing his return to the Liberal Party in May 1924 after having gone independent and considered Progressivism, as well as his public disagreement with Admiral Field in July 1924. Finally, it consists of a Special Committee Report on the possibility of effectively controlling ocean freight rates, from December 1924.

The file contains primary source information on the career of Andrew R. McMaster (former Liberal MP for Brome, QC, Provincial Treasurer, and Representative for Compton County) from 1917 to 1925, in 1937, and in 2005. It consists of one scrapbook filled with correspondence and press clippings. The correspondence consists of congratulatory letters regarding his nomination for Brome in 1917, and letters of reply (many from other politicians) discussing proposals for a Canadian flag, as well as other topics. The press clippings discuss topics such as: the League of Nations (and Canada's involvement), Canada-Soviet relations, and the global economy and the economic effect of the Great War. The scrapbook also includes two obituaries: one from a 1937 newspaper, and one from Cool to be Canadian Archives dated 2005 (a copy of the obituary from the Montreal Star, April 27, 1937). Also included in the scrapbook is a copy of a speech given by McMaster in the House of Commons on May 23, 1923.

The file contains primary source information on the political career of Andrew R. McMaster (former Member of Parliament for Brome, QC) from about 1917 to 1925. It consists of one scrapbook filled with correspondence and press clippings. The correspondence is primarily concerned with congratulating McMaster on his taking a stand in Parliament against the Liberals (his own party) when he disagreed with certain initiatives. The press clippings cover a variety of topics, including: tariffs, free trade, visits to PEI and Western Canada, memorable speeches in the House of Commons, the McMaster Resolution (that directors of banks and utility corporations should resign directorship on becoming ministers of the Crown), and his "crossing the floor" in 1923. It also consists of one file of loose press clippings discussing similar topics. Amongst the loose press clippings is one letter dated December 17, 1923, inviting citizens of Yorkton and District to participate in a preparatory meeting for the eventual visit of McMaster.

It consists of a scrapbook filled with press clippings collected before the start of his political career, which discuss topics such as: the world economy and trade, world politics, British naval development, Canada's imperial ties to Great Britain, and the Canadian economy, press, navy, and politics. The scrapbook also has a handwritten, partial index which is organized alphabetically by topic and lists the page numbers where the corresponding topics can be found.
