The file contains primary source information on the participation of Sherbrooke, QC's Lloyd H. Bowen in the YMCA Junior Spokes Club from 1925 to 1927. It consists of correspondence about upcoming meetings of the Junior Spokes Club of the YMCA in Winnipeg, two speeches given by Lloyd H. Bowen on Canada's world position and on French-Canadian characteristics and contributions to Canada.

The file contains primary source information on the travels and theatre involvement of Cecil H. Bowen of Sherbrooke, QC from 1879 to approximately 1906, and in 1986. It consists of a printed list of passengers on board the Augusta-Victoria steamship of the Hamburg-American Packet Company in November 1890 and two theatre programmes for Il Jacobi presented by the Mountfield Amateur Theatre Company in 1879 and for the comic opera The Mikado, by Gilbert and Sullivan, presented at the Clement Theatre in Sherbrooke, probably in 1906. In the Mikado, Cecil played the role of the Mikado of Japan and Minnie Hallowell Bowen the role of an elderly lady. In Il Jacobi, Cecil played the role of Jacobi and Minnie the role of Sophronia. The programmes include lists of the actors and ladies in the chorus, a synopsis, and advertisements for local businesses. It also contains a letter from Lloyd and photocopied photograph of the cast of Ermanie, which included Cecil and Minnie, from 1986, 3 photographs of Cecil in costume and a photograph the Augusta-Victoria ship that Cecil had traveled on.

The file contains primary source information on Lloyd H. Bowen's travels from 1917 to 1928. It consists of materials (menus, abstracts of the log, newsletters, programme of an entertainment evening) distributed to passengers on the Andania and the Carmania steamships of the Cunard Line during a trip to England. It also includes photographs of Lloyd's trips to England, Manitoba, New York City, Michigan, and Scotland.

The third one, entitled The Parliament Buildings: The Victory Tower - The Memorial Chamber - Ottawa, Canada, was written by Minnie Hallowell Bowen. The last document is a photocopy of a press clipping on a meeting of the King George V Chapter of the I.O.D.E. where Minnie Hallowell Bowen gave a speech on the Parliament Buildings.

The file consists of five stories for children written by Minnie Hallowell Bowen. Two of them are typescripts: "Carrol and the Brownies" and "Under the Stone". The others, "The Magic Stone", "What Happened to Milly", and "Little Sunwave", are photocopies from the Sherbrooke Telegram. This newspaper published these stories in weekly parts in its "The Children's House" page in 1932 and 1933.
