The series contains primary source material on the correspondence of the editorial team of Matrix magazine (located in Lennoxville, QC) with a variety of correspondents from about 1974 to 1991. It consists of letters to and from the editors of Matrix, for the most part regarding submissions to the magazine, but at some points also discussing finances, as well as a variety of documents pertaining to the correspondents, such as newspaper clippings and literary submissions. The series is comprised of the following files: Brian Burke (1985-1987), Merritt Clifton (1982-1986), Ray Filip (1980), Cynthia Flood (1981), Geoff Hancock (1985), Leo Kennedy and Patricia Morley (1984), Irving Layton ([1978?]-[1986?]), Joyce Marshall ([1975?]-1986), Jennifer Mitton ([1987?]-[1991?]), Greta Nemiroff (1982-1983), Richard Sommer (1986-1987), Tsigane (Jo-Ann Baernstein) ([1982?]), Addresses ([1974?]-[1985?]), Other ([1978?]-[1989?]).
