        Item is a photograph of a post office located in Beebe Plain, half of which was located on the Canadian side of the border and the other half on the American, with two separate doors. It would take three days for a letter to get from one side of the long room to the other.

        The sub-series contains primary source information regarding the postal service and post office in Cumberland Mills from 1878 to 1886, and regarding the Quebec postal service in 1954. It consists of correspondence and contracts for the establishment of a post office and appointment of postmasters at Cumberland Mills (addressed to Thomas J. Taylor) from 1878 to 1886 as well as letter to Quebec postal employees for the Canada Savings Bonds campaign in 1954.
