    Biographical history

    Anna Leocadie Mead was born August 22, 1863 to Stephen Mead (1819-1875) and Constance Mead (1840-1918). She married George B. Lee. She died November 3, 1949 and is buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery in New London, Connecticut.

    Scope and content

    The subseries contains primary source information pertaining to Anna Lee (née Mead) from about 1934 to 1948, in New London, CT. It consists of greeting cards and letters written by Anna, addressed to Lill Ferrin Baldwin and Harold Ferrin Baldwin. The letter dated February 1, 1934 contains an enclosed photograph of a large, colonial-style home seen from a snowy road bordered by a fence. The inscription on the verso of the photograph reads: "The home faces south and we look at Long Island Sound over to Fisher's Island."
